Project Manager – Cloud Solutions

 We’re hiring exceptional Level Project Managers to work with our enterprise customers.  2nd Watch puts our customers first and we obsess over ensuring their trust is our first priority.  To earn that trust in a constantly changing technology arena like cloud-computing, it requires building a world-class team to tackle unforeseen challenges.  This role is a critical juncture between our services and client happiness. You will help our customers design and deploy on AWS, Azure or other cloud platform, which will involve coordinating teams from the customer, partners and many internal 2W teams (e.g., service teams, Professional Services, Sales, Account Management, Solutions Architecture and Managed Services). This position will help 2W exceed customer expectations.


  •  Lead successful professional services projects to achieve customer delight while achieving expected financial results
  • Provide technical input and review to ensure that the customer requirements are understood and that the correct professional services products and solutions are quoted
  • Manage project participants, resources, and deliver projects on schedule within projected budget
  • Manage customer expectations and project scope from order through delivery, ensuring the financial and technical viability/quality of each project at all times
  •   Manage multiple concurrent projects with the correct amount of business and technical acumen
  •  Manage day-to-day activities of the project, including order verification, customer meetings, work packages and specifications, account team liaison, QA of service, and closure items
  •  Identify, resolve, and communicate project issues to all key stakeholders in a timely manner
  •  Participate in Professional Services solution development efforts, solution documentation, and knowledge management
  • As part of 2nd Watch's continuous improvement process, drive improvements in delivery methodologies and processes based on after-action assessments 
  • Ensure that our applications and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest security standards thus maintaining and enhancing customer trust
  • Evangelize security within 2nd Watch and be an advocate for keeping customer information secure


  •  Excellent proficiency with project management fundamentals, e.g., development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, resource plans, and status report development
  • Lead and support engagement of global customers as (as required)
  • Proven ability to influence others and lead customer engagements
  •  Strong ownership, bias for action and willingness to role-up your sleeves
  •  Experience managing projects and/or complex engagements involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with various size projects ranging from small 80hr project so multi-million dollars programs
  •  Leadership in functional succinct meetings that delivering requirements completions with ultra-efficiency
  •  Strong problem-solving skills, ability to multitask, be process-minded and detail-oriented
  • Experience managing external and internal teams; ability to lead virtual teams across time zones and multiple organizations
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  Expert skills with MS Office Suite
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

You will have access to several customer production sites and applications.  Confidentiality and non-disclosure of client information is a requirement and non-negotiable 
Familiarity of disaster recovery process and reporting security breaches is desired
Familiarity with and experience working with the following compliance standards: Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA, PCI

Desired Skills & Experience:

  •  8-10 years of hands on experience in technical solution implementation, design, deployments and project management in technical environments
  •  8+ years of customer-facing experience, preferably in the enterprise space
  •  Experience in the roles that require strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Technical experience should include a substantial mix of the following:
  • IT infrastructure, including indoor and/or outdoor WLAN technology deployments
  • Network upgrade projects and network system engineering/implementation
  • Software installation and configuration
  • Web-based product delivery

Preferred Skills:

  • Broad-based technical background in computer networking, IT infrastructure, and IT system administration.  Experience with cloud based architectures (including AWS) and Network Infrastructure/Servers is a plus
  •  Ability to manage cross-functional teams consisting of customers, vendors, and technical architects and engineers
  • Confident, proactive approach to managing difficult situations, conflicting requirements and schedules, and energetic people
  •  Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively within a matrix environment
  •  Must be able to make sound decisions based on incomplete information, while under pressure, and while maintaining project focus
  • Excellent presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
  •  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
